Item description : This is a pair of Rakuyaki te abowl in black and red with Mentori (round off the corner) shapes. They are made by Shoraku Sasaki who is a famous Rakuyaki potter living in Kyoto. They are provided with a Hakogaki (written names for the tea bowl) written by Mr Genta Kobayashi who is the chief priest at the Kobaiin temple belonged to the Daitokuji temple in Kyoto. (please see his great calligraphy work at genta. It is rare to come across such beautiful pair of Rakuyaki tea bowl with Mentori style. We are sure that it becomes one of your valuable collection of Japanese tea bowls. The name of the potter is written on the lid and stamped in the bottom of the items.
