Item description : This is a wonderful Urushi Jubako box with graceful Makie works of 4 different sceneries of Mt. Fuji, Wajima made. It is a very rare antique Wajima item made probably early Meiji (1880's) in which the Wajima craftmen were producing valuable and great Urushi items that were highly evaluated later year. Therefore, the paints looks stately and the Makie works looks elegant and elaborate that are strong enogh to survive into the present time without any damage. It is really rare item and must be a collectible item that is worth to exhibited at a museum. Please add this valuable piece to your Urushi collection.
