Item description : Chagake scroll with a portrait of Rikyu and his poem made in his late age which says "Jinsei Shichijyu Rikiikitotsu Waga hoken Sobutsu to tomoni korosu" (Looking back on my 70 years of life, a great deal has happened.But now I have to say goodbye to that life.Now I have no attachment to life and no fear of death.Come on, let's have fun playing freely in the world I'm going to.) drawn by Mr Taigen Kobayashi who is a chief priest at Kobai-in temple in Kyoto.
