Item description : This is the perfection of a handicraft art, Temari Ball a pair, which is one of famous and traditional folkart in Yanagawa, Fukuoka Kyushu. People began to make this item since mid 1600’s (Edo period) for a family with a daughter to wish that their daughter grows up beautifully and gently like these balls. The skill to make these balls is taken over into the present time and still appreciated among Temari fans. This is new kind of Temari ball and there is something inside which rattles when you shake it.
