Item description : This is Japanese traditional nail covers (called Kugi-Kakushi) placed for an old temple. It was one of decorative parts and was used as the caps to hide the heads of nails arranged on the crossing points between pillars and beams in traditional Japanese houses before Kamakura period. How charming they are! In fact, there were various kinds of nail covers created at that time. It is a collectible item for who are about Japanese nail covers.
