This is a Jizo-Bosatsu statue which is one of the God of Bosastu and he relieves people who meed a help by an inexhaustible mercy. Generally, they say that it is a guardian deity for children. He has a tin made stick on his right hand (called Shakujo) to use it when he makes a signal and an ornamental jewel on his right hand. It is made presumably in 1960's or before and there is partialll color peel off see n on the stage but as a whole, it is in good condition for age. Please add this significant Jizo to your collection of Japanese Buddhist art.
