This is a tea shelf for a tea ceremony that Rikyu prefred, made of a paulownia. It is made presumably in 1980's or before. It looks so simple but creates a tasteful appearance on the otherhand. There are thin stains and a couple of hits seen in the corners as shown but it is still in very good condtion to use with beautiful appearance. Please add this handsome shelf ot your collection of Japanese tea tools. It can be dismantled when to store.
