This is scarce item, a pair of Okiage Doll put in a picture frame. An Okiage has its origin back in Edo period and became most popular in Meiji period which has been gifted among people when at an annual events. It is made by a cutting cardboard, affixing cotton fluff and wrapping this with cloth to fashion the face, hands and kimono requires painstaking workmanship. It is made presumabbly early 1970's or before. There are thin stains and small spots of worn-out seen on the cupole of places as shown due to age but as a whole , it is in good condition to decorate as a wall hanging obj. Please add this rare item to your colection of Japanese dolls. It is guaranteed that it could be one of your wonderful entertainment to look at. This is re-introduced item.
