This is scarce item, an Okiage Doll which is a famous folk art olny made in Kurume, Fukuoka.It is made by a cutting cardboard, affixing cotton fluff and wrapping this with cloth to fashion the face, hands and kimono requires painstaking workmanship. It is made presumabbly early 1900's and has been kept in such good condition although there is slight color deterioration totally due to age. Please add this rare item to your colection of Japanese dolls. It is guaranteed that it could be one of your treausre.
