This is a pair of handicraft luncheon mat made from a real Japanese Obi. It is not easy to make this item from technical point of view because it is necessary to find out an old Obi in good condition with beautiful design first, then fix the area which contains the design to cut out with the pattern. Only few items can be made from an Obi due to this reason and would not be possible to make the same item again. You can use it practically as is or tapestry or it could be beautiful textile decoration to put a tea bowl on in a your room. It is guaranteed that it could be a good entertainning to look at. It is of course 100% silk made. It is a brandnew item.
